SEMBACH, Germany — Dental Health Command Europe welcomed a new sergeant major during an assumption of responsibility ceremony Sept. 28.
Master Sgt. (promotable) Tres Bien Adams is the new senior enlisted leader for DHCE, and comes to Germany from Fort Gordon, Georgia, where she was the Dental Health Activity first sergeant.
She takes over sergeant major responsibilities from Sgt. Maj. Kevin Buie, who left DHCE to become the Public Health Command Europe sergeant major.
Col. Steven Tanner, DHCE commander, presided over the ceremony and welcomed Adams to the DHCE team and thanked her for taking on the important role of DHCE sergeant major.
“As my principal advisor and guardian of high standards and discipline, I look forward to your guidance, solutions and inspirations to help keep (DHCE) running in the right direction, as the premier leader of warrior-centered oral health care,” Tanner said.
Adams thanked Army Medicine leaders for attending the ceremony and expressed her desire to face the challenges of her new role.
“I’m a firm believer in the expression that ‘to whom much is given, much is required,’” Adams said. “To the Soldiers and civilians of this phenomenal organization, it is my greatest honor to join you as your sergeant major. I don’t take this responsibility lightly. I am ready to embrace the challenge and responsibility of this position. I will work every day to move the needle forward and to add to the success of (DHCE).”
