Fiona Edwards, chief executive of Surrey and Borders Partnership Foundation Trust, takes over the leadership of Frimley Health and Care ICS from Sir Andrew Morris. Sir Andrew, the former chief executive of Frimley Health FT, was recently appointed as a non-executive director at NHS Improvement.

Ms Edwards, who will continue in her role with SABP, said: “I am delighted to accept this new opportunity and I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues across our health and care system to ensure we are working in the most effective way in partnership with our residents and our local communities.

“This approach will focus on ensuring we have effective services, providing the best possible physical and mental wellbeing for local people.”

Anne Eden, executive director south east NHS England and NHS Improvement, said: “Fiona has been an NHS chief executive serving the Surrey and Frimley communities for 18 years and has led major change programmes to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities, drug and alcohol and mental health problems.

“She has a track record of enabling innovative partnerships to be forged including leading-edge technology based transformation of healthcare. Fiona’s career has also included leadership roles within the private and voluntary sectors, making her well placed to lead the changes we are making across the ICS.”

Frimley Health and Care ICS covers 800,000 people across parts of Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire.
